3 Year Old's

As children become preschoolers, their social and emotional skills need guidance. Teachers will help to foster children's independence that allows them to become more confident. Communication involves listening and understanding what others are saying. Communication will help express thoughts, wants and needs. Children will be encouraged to participate in many games, such as "red light, green light" and "duck, duck goose". Three year olds enjoy strengthening their fine motor skills by doing finger plays, painting and playing with play dough. Children will be able to use their creativity and curiosity when encouraged to answer questions and express opinions about books their teachers read to them. Children will be introduced to patterning, classifying and identifying shapes and many hands on activities.
