4 Year Old's

Your four year old will be surrounded by award-winning literature, which will help prepare them for Kindergarten. Teachers will encourage children to play responsible roles in the classroom. They will also learn to solve problems by using words. Your children will be encouraged to dance and participate in non-competitive races. Fine motor skills are vital to your child's future writing skills. We will practice this by writing our names with pens, pencils, paint and the sand table. Your children will learn to recite finger plays, retell stories in their own words and make comparisons. They will be able to explore weather, plants, animals, sounds and textures. At this age the teachers will assess the children and provide progess reports to the parents twice-a-year at parent teacher conferences.
