Toddler (18 Months to 2 Years
We strongly believe in the formation of trusting bonds between toddlers and their teachers. Teachers will assess children's developing skills, then provide activities to increase those skills. Toddlers use their fine motor skills in different ways to help them progress. Toddlers will be doing finger paints, making and manipulating clay. Gross motor skills will be observed when children are batting at objects, kicking, walking and even running. Teachers will help to assist your child with their emotions. They will learn patience, cooperation and learn ways to express their emotions properly. Toddlers also begin to learn "people skills". They will become aware of their classmates and then learn to share. Your toddler will learn to put their wants and needs into words. Teachers will teach your child to sing songs, recite nursery rhymes and expand their vocabularies. Toddlers will begin to sort by shape and color and will also be encouraged to identify facial features.
